3 weeks agoJuly 11, 2017Simsbury 1820 House is fantastic. Our stay over the weekend was perfect. The house and grounds are historic & beautiful. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. I especially enjoyed the story of Eaglewood left in the room. We were there to see a show at Simsbury Meadows and the performing art center is a short walk from the inn. Dinner at Metro Bis is amazing; try the maple white chocolate bread pudding, OMG. The innkeeper Pam is absolutely wonderful. She made us feel at home and is an absolute joy to be around. Thank you so much!

a month agoJune 12, 2017Rooms and hotel are beautiful. Bed was super comfortable. The air-conditioning in the room was able to keep it cold even with it being 90+ out which is impressive given the age of the building. It is much nicer than the hotel northampton, which is another historic hotel we stayed at recently.

3 months agoApril 24, 2017This was my second time at Simsbury 1820. I returned for the ambience the Innkeeper creates around the fire. She has a way of bringing guests together with human and spark that makes one feel so welcome and special. She offers to make you coffee even though it is easy to do, she insists and the care and attention along with the stories she shares, in just the right tone and manner, makes one feel like this is HOME. The room was beautiful. Linens so fine. Everything in place and nothing shoddy or skimpy. I will return over and over to this special place! Sharon S.

4 weeks agoJuly 10, 2017The 1820 House is wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, and the innkeeper makes you feel like family and not a guest at a hotel. The breakfast every morning is great and eating it outside is just splendid.
