2 weeks agoJuly 02, 2017Well, let me tell you all about One King West... It's easy to see how it was very grand at one point. The marble, high ceilings and old time vault are impressive. Location is great, near everything downtown and also the rail, however the room was not cleaned on arrival. The rubbish was not empty and there was food left in the mini fridge from the previous occupant. Whether a high end hotel or not, it's not unreasonable to expect a clean room and that made us suspect of whether the room had been properly cleaned. Overall pleasant and great location but standards seem to have slipped.

a month agoJune 08, 2017The lobby was beautiful, and not very intimidating with all the people occupying the lounge. A little confusing in terms of layout if you've never been. The conference room we used was nice, but food had poor vegetarian options. They darkened the bar in the evening, and added music. It was loud but I could still hear the people around me. My drink was faaarrr too strong (I ordered a cocktail thinking it would be nice and sweet. Nope took 2 sips and cried and gave it to someone else).

2 weeks agoJuly 05, 2017Our stay was an absolute delight!! Exceptional service. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was a joy to stay in! Steal for the price as well. Definitely would stay again if in Toronto!

3 weeks agoJune 25, 2017Great place, cool staff, nice feeling. Shame about the internet (and that's why I took a point off giving the full 5. Although it is being fixed, and their support team were very polite and understanding on the phone). Locality pretty much best you can get, I would think. Toronto is an amazing city!

a month agoMay 22, 2017Came for a wedding. Very nice event venue. The ballroom is spacious with gorgeous ceilings. The downfall was the dinner service. Servers weren't thrilled to work the event, forgot to fill glasses or offer coffee to guests throughout the night. Food was below average (cold food, little flavour).
